Post Fifteen: Fathers Day

Has anyone noticed if fathers day is going the same way as mothers day?

[Action for England also has a gift for him]

Happy Fathers Day

Well... While you're here. Is school going all right with you?

[She nods]

It's a little strange but I'm getting used to it. My world is quite different from this one though so it's only natural.

Are you getting good grades, at the very least?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
That should have been a very firm and definite "of course."

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't know your grades?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Are those the letters they give us?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Right. What did you get for it?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
For what? They give us lots of them.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Math. I think I got a B

[She does not like math]

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be giving you extra lessons, then.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright.

[Seems quite interested actually]

Do you know a lot about math?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I used to be interested in America's education, so I'm used to teaching a bit of it, at least.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you know why we have negatize numbers? It seems like a waste of time to me.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Those are important in the higher maths. It's just good to grasp the concept and recognize it.

And there's nothing wrong with a little negativity.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
But they don't exist. How can you have a negative amount of something?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you're quite looking at this the wrong way.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
How should I look at it then?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not why should we have negative numbers.

It's more like why not?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
....I suppose.

Do they have a use?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course they do.

Just wait a few years and you'll be quite thankful for them.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
....I suppose.

Unless you don't use them outside of school. Because I don't go to school at home so I suppose I'll need them.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2010-06-20 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, math is quite useful to learn all around. If America kept up his studies, I'm sure he would have been slightly more intelligent than a sponge by now.
