[England has given her an idea and so there is another sign set up outside the house with a sign that reads

Tiffany Aching: Witch
-Disputes settled
-Help with problems
-Midwifery
-General witching

Tiffany is sitting on the lawn with her pointed hat on as she reads a book. It appears to be a history text book and she's making notes in a notebook to the side.]

How do you get around in your world? In mine, we mostly used trains... There are some cars, but they're steampowered, not like the ones here. We have telephones, they work about the same.

Usually the carts that travel around. Witches sometimes use brooms to fly but everyone else has horses and the carts.

And if we wanted to talk to someone we had to go and visit them.

Hmm... I think phones are a handy way of getting in touch with someone fast like if it's an emergency... but I think that actually going to visit someone would be more fun than just talking to them over the phone.

[He gives Tiffany a grin, hoping she understand that applies to her too.] You get to see more sights that way and it's always more fun seeing them in person than just hearing their voice.

I'm... doing alright. I'm worried I might be regaining my armor.... I got my bloodseal back awhile ago and my helmet... I have to be extra careful now so I don't accidentally get the armor back too... I don't want to go back in there.

[He pushes past his worry though and smiles again.] Brother is still being... Brother. Everyone in my house is droned now expect for Dad and me... It's.. unnerving seeing someone you once knew act so strangely like that.

[She nodds at the last bit] I had two fake siblings get droned. Luckily we seem to have gotten a new person rather quickly.

I'm... not really sure. I hope not... Everything that I've gotten in the mail has been unmarked so I don't know what's inside of it until I open it. I know by now I have to be very careful...

Well he called me America when we were arguing.

Also he told me that because he's going to be distracted over my well being, I am burden to him and that I'm only an obstecle in his way.

[...yeah that last bit. She's hurt by but just tries to brush it off as irritation. Also Al is one of the few people she'll tell about this]

He says that because he cares about me, he'll worry about me. And because of that I'll be a distraction to him.

For whatever reason he thinks I'm helpless.

[Al knows how that is, worrying about Winry when she's been used as a hostage against him and Ed more than once... but that's not going to stop him from caring about her and treating her as a very dear friend.]

Well... What can you do to show that you're not helpless? Because I don't think you are. [He smiles kindly.]

I'm not sure. It's just like...he refuses to see anything else. He's increadibly stubborn.

I was thinking about trying to figure out more about Jane Smith, but I don't think I'm going to tell him. He'd just try to lock me in my room.

The little girl who somehow ended the monster thing. I don't know how she did it, but she apparently has some power over the town.

... The monster thing? [Al doesn't remember any of it, sorry, Tiffany! He just knows that he disappeared.]

Oh that's right. You were gone for most of it.

Well we recived reports that various people had been murdered and there was a list of suspects. A few days later more people were "murdered", and we had a new list of suspects. Though...some of us stayed on the list. People started to get strange notes about some people having been replaced and there were monsters pretending to be them that were attacking people.

They were showing the murdered people on the television sets. But no one could find the bodies...just the blood. Everytime people vanished, another suspect list came up and a few of us were always on it.

People started to hunt down and kill those people on the list. More clues came and people vanished. ....Sophie was killed and England was even more paranoid....because I was a suspect on all the lists.

And then...one morning we woke up to the little girl saying that boys were silly and that this had gone on too long. And....everyone was back...

[And she's pretty sure it was the most horrible thing she's ever been through. Which is saying a lot]

[For what it's worth, he was worried about you a lot when he saw you on the list as well before he disappeared... but he doesn't remember that either.]

[He listens silently as she explains, not speaking even after she stops talking, a thoughtful look on his face, trying not to let any upset show - Sophie was killed? Tiffany was a suspect for murder?]

... And you think this Jane Smith might have something to do with how strange England is acting?

No...not really.

I'm thinking about asking America, or Canada about England. I think Sophie's worried about him too.

But he got much worse after the event...

I just want to know more about this girl. I'm only a bit older then her. I'm sure I could become friends with her. That way we could get more information as to the people with power in this town.

....so do I. He's nice. Even if he does treat me as a child.

....It's an acceptable risk if it means we can figure out a way to get out of here.

[Al thinks about it for another moment, then decides...] Then let me help you. Let's work together. [He grins a little.] Two are better than one. [That way he can make sure she doesn't get hurt... or at least try and protect her should things go bad.]
