Because you're a child, and my child, it will be over my dead body that you're going to fight when you don't have to. Because I care, you're a burden, and that means you're an obstacle in my way. When I'm fighting, I will be utterly distracted by you and lose my direction. If you insist on this, you will be causing injury to me and to those I care about.

So, no. You cannot "help," because I won't allow it. It's stupid and cruel of you to think otherwise.
