witchofthechalk | Post Thirty Three: Sorting Things Out

[Tiffany is tired. No, worse. She's not tired, at least not properly tired. Properly tired was spending two days on your feet without sleep. It was helping a new mother give birth to twins. It was when you spent your time on something that made the sheer exhaustion feel like an accomplishment rather then a weakness. No she wasn't tired. Not really.

But she was worried. And she dreams of eyeless things, angry music and gingerbread houses in the woods. And she decides since she's a witch she's going to have to do something about all this. Or a few things.

A. Housemates: Tiffany is sitting on the living room floor while she goes through the small wooden box of her small things from home.

B. Tiffany is walking down the street with a broomstick floating in the air behind her. She's holding onto it by a string as she walks along.

C. Susan, people at Susan's house. There is a witch knocking on the door.

D. There is a girl and a broom on a hill. While that might be a little odd, the strange thing is that she's flying. Rather low to the ground but still flying. It helps her think.

[What he really wants to say is “I want a ride“.]

Well I'm just taking it up to the hill with me. If you can keep your hands from looking till we get there you can have a ride if you'd like.

Really? [He looks so excited.] Okay!

[And the broom lowers so he can now touch the ground.]

[He lets go of the broom once his feet touch the sidewalk and runs around Tiffany instead.]

Is it flying practice or are you bored?

[They'll walk towards the edge of town and the hill then.]

Probably a bit of both.

[Running around, because he always has too much energy.]

This month wasn't too bad I think, except Sealand said some stupid stuff.

Less violent certainly.

Anything to get you in trouble?

Not really, unless I get in trouble for that Communism thing. What about you?

I'm sure you would have by now.

[At least she hopes so.]

I think I managed quite well.

What'd you get back? My body's back to normal now.

[Not really. That had been an old regain. But she didn't like to advertise her magic, and she's not really sure she could explain spill words to Sealand either.]

[Tapping on said arm will feel the same as if she were tapping the actual fort Sealand is, if she chooses to do so.]

[She does. Metal and concrete being new things to her still. She'll look at his arm. And then tap again.]

I suppose that saves you from a great deal of broken bones then.

Yeah, Sealand is strong!

That's a good thing to be here.

Does it just do that all the time or can you make it sit on the ground too?

Do you know how you're going to do that?

It can stay on the ground. It's just easier to carry around this way.

I wish I could do magic stuff... [He wants to fly around it would be so cool.]

But I guess Sealand will have to do training! It would help if I had a rifle and that sort of thing. They won't sell it to Sealand at the store.

Could you get someone to help you train? They could probably get those things.

Most people just say I'm too little, even when I tell them Sealand is really a country.

If you asked on the phones I'm sure you'd find someone. You might also want to mention that you're going to do it anyway even if you don't get help. So if they're worried about you being too little then they should teach you themselves so you don't get hurt.
