The Discworld? It's a different world. I'm actually from a place called, the Chalk on it.

We got pelted with freezing milk. Aside from a cold and our injured prides, I think we'll live.

Chalk? That's... an interesting name. [ He eyes her hat ] But you have witches there, too?

I am the only witch in the town. The Chalk is my steading. Or area of land that I'm responsible for.

There's a few others nearby on the Ramtop mountains. But they're quite far away.

Where I'm from, we have quite a few families in a town, if not more.

Well sometimes we have apprentices staying with us. Besides, I live with my family.

.....no. Neither am I. The wizards are mostly in Ankh-Morpork at the university. Witches don't get involved with that sort of thing.

In my world, witches and wizards are quite different from one another. Witches tend to work either alone or in small groups. And we look after land and the people who live there. Wizards stay in a large group and do whatever it is that wizards do in the city.

Possibly cause lots of explosions and both endanger and save the world I believe. I've only meet a few wizards.

Well, you're meeting another one right now. Though, I believe you on the 'different world' part now. It sounds a bit old fashioned.

Oh most likely. If we were from the same world, you would have known the name of it at least.

Perhaps old fashioned but it works for us. Besides, I've heard there are world where people burn witches and others where people have to hide their magic from everyone else. We don't have to worry about that.
