Second Post: Looking for Feegles

Well at least I'm thinking clearly now.

[She's holding onto the telephone, it seems the best thing to get her message across]

Has anyone seen a large group of small blue men around?

They're very noisy and are probably stealing something, drinking or fighting. Or a combination of all three.

[The words, I am a witch are just on her tongue when she almost sighes.]

Alright then.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Right! Right, then. Quite.

What... what would you like to see first? Err... Well, it wouldn't be proper to take you around the pubs.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not really sure. I haven't had a chance to look around much. [It was just so...strange]

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
What... What do girls like...?

Ah! Perhaps fish? W-we could stop by the market, then, and buy some fresh fish. I'm sure Sophie and Nanako would be delighted--fish for dinner, all that. I'll cook it myself!

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a market here?

[She looks interested]

Alright.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[so happy]

Right! Right, then, make sure you grab your jacket. It might get cold.

If... If there's anything other than fish that you'd like, I'm sure that would be fine, too.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be fine.

What do markets sell around here?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-17 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Plain sorts of food, nothing really spectacular. Cans and jars of things, and the useful tidbits here or there. Are... Are you too old for toys? They sell those--too--

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
So you'd still like wooden soldiers and all that, right? And old enough for taxes--

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a few at home. [Well they're more like her brothers]

[She catches that last bit]

Nanny Ogg says witches don't have to pay taxes.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... if you were a fairy, you wouldn't have to pay taxes.

But that's good! That's very good, a few toys it is. And... yes, perhaps some mathematics and astronomy textbooks, as well. That's all the rage these days for children, isn't it?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[She choses to ignore the fairy bit however her attention is caught with the word books. She looks quite interested]

They have places that sell books here?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Certainly, and a nice library, as Sophie tells me.

She said they might have books on embroidery. Not that America would know anything about quality threadwork, but I could start a few projects here or there.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[Now she looks very interestd.]

A real library...hm, that should be interesting to see. I wonder how many books they have.

You do threadwork?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably loads of books about hamburgers. Are you interested in any books in particular?

Yes, here and there. The pillows look like they could use some patterns--perhaps birds--brighten up this dreary place.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Ham-burger? What's that?

A dictionary first of all.

This place is rather strange.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
A rather simplistic food that America is always chomping on. I-It tastes all right.

Are there a lot of words here you don't know?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Is it made out of ham?

Well I know the ones I'd find at home. For example, egress still hasn't changed it's meaning. But I've never heard of a television or a telephone before.

[There's much more but she doesn't particularly like not sounding smart.]

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Err... more like bread and some sort of meat in them. Like sandwiches, except more America.

Well, that's not uncommon, there are people who don't know about tellies and phones. The important thing is knowing how to use them, all that.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
They have ham in them?

Yes I suppose that is true. Still I'd like to know more wordsd from this place.

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
No, just beef, I believe. Confusing name.

Education is important. And you can stay in your room reading--yes, it all works out well.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
That's strange.

All works out.. Why? Are you planning something?

[identity profile] is-an-island.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
N-No, just nice to know where everyone is, all that.

And I might be planning to curse someone--would you happen to know about curses?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
I see.

[Curses..]

No I don't know much about those. Who did you want to curse?
