Post Twenty: Going to see Nanny

[Tiffany Aching is currently going to visit Nanny Ogg. She's carrying a basket that has some homemade cheese in it,  as well as her note book. Family, feel free to catch her before she leaves the house. Anyone else she will be walking down the street, pointed hat and all. Nanny, she brought you some cheese.]

[Nanny steps over and opens the door from the garage to the house.]

Well, come in. Tell me what's on your mind.

Would you like somethin'? Juice or milk or one of them them fizzy cola drinks?

[She follows her in]

Juice would be nice.

[And a trip to the icebox later, Nanny Ogg has a glass of orange juice for her.]

Now, what's on your mind, then?

[She takes it with a nod]

Do you know someone named Mr.Teatime? An asassian from Ankh-Morpork

[identity profile] bananana-dakry.livejournal.com 2010-07-14 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...An asassin, eh? Can't say I'm familar with him. Think he's trouble, then?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-07-14 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Susan says he is and when I was talking to him....there's something "off" about him. Susan said he's insane and kills anyone who bothers him. He also hates her because of something that happened one Hogswatch.

He lives across the street from you.

[identity profile] bananana-dakry.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, he does, does he?..

I ain't too worried about him. He may be a professional assassin, but I'm a professional at botherin' people who want me dead.

Still, maybe you oughta tell me about that Hogswatch.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-07-17 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
She didn't say much about it. Just that there was an excess of belief around because Mr. Teatime kill...er, inhumed the Hogfather.

[identity profile] bananana-dakry.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
[Excess of belief? Uh-oh...That's a dangerous thing to be messing around with, belief. And it pretty clearly bugs her.]

Inhumed the Hogfather...Hmmm...that ain't good. Ain't good at all. Man sounds like he's messin' with somethin' he don't rightly understand.

I'll be havin' a talk with Miss Sto Helit about this, I think. Can't be havin' something like that not bein' prop'rly watched.

[Nods]

That might be a good idea. She's trying to decide whether or not to warn the town about him.

[identity profile] bananana-dakry.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
I s'pose that's her business, but I expect it shall get around eventually. [A small town where you can't go anywhere else is a hotbed for gossip, after all.]

Has he been botherin' you at all?

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
That's true.

I talked to him. He thinks I'm a rather silly child who believed what ever he said. And he waved at me when I walked over here.

Susan says I shouldn't talk to him and run away if I see him.

[identity profile] bananana-dakry.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
Well...I suppose thinkin' you're a silly child is better then him thinkin' you're sensible and a threat.

I expect that's good advice. Those sorts take any excuse to think people're worth killin'.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
[She nods at that.]

Are all asassians crazy? Or is it just him?

[identity profile] bananana-dakry.livejournal.com 2010-07-19 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Couldn't rightly say. I ain't met too many.

But if it ain't just him, it's either that it makes 'em like that or they do it cause they're already that way.
