Post Six: Trying Out An Old Skill

[If you are walking by 1670 Nelson street you'll see a strange sight. There is a small girl with a witches pointed hat sitting on the grass. She is wearing some large sensible boots that seem out of place with her normal outfit.

Oh and she also appears to be dead.
However if you look closer you can see a sign clutched in her hands that reads

I am not dead!

Oh no. I was just trying out my borrowing powers to see if they were working.

It's one of the powers I was learning at home. It's when you go out of your body and borrow the mind of an animal.

Yes, it's a bit difficult to learn and you have to make sure not to stay too long, but yes.

We are, but at the same time it's more like we're just there for the ride. We don't actually control the animal, we just see the world from their perspective.

You usually have to be. And even then it's can be difficult for witches.

Aah, okay. ... I can do magic tricks at the circus, but I'm going to guess that that's pretty different from being an actual witch, isn't it.

Witches tend to be good at slight of hand. But I wouldn't be able to tell you if you were a witch. I'm still in training myself.

Well I found out I was a witch when I was nine but I didn't start training till I was eleven. So about two years.
