What is this dance thing everyone's talking about now. I didn't think we had any lords here to throw balls.

It isn't my place to say. I was thoughtless bringing it up.

But the Howl I married had his heart. I wouldn't have ever agreed to it, had he not.

I thought a demon took it.

He didn't take it. Howl gave it to him in a contract. However I was able to return his heart, as they both wanted out of that contract.

That begs many questions.

What contract?

Calcifer, the fire demon, needed a heart to live. Howl gave his heart to him in exchange for power.

Then why was he unsatisfied with the contract?

There were side affects. The longer the contract lasted, the more they could lose themselves. Another pair lost themselves completely in such a contract.

He got his heart back at the end?

Yes. I was able to use my magic to allow Calcifer to live without Howl's heart, and then returned the heart to Howl.
